Advanced level is for those who are confident at playing Tradititional Music. Participants should be proficient at sight-reading or able to learn by ear. We will learn a variety of playing skills, ornamentation and explore styles and characteristics from a variety of regions. Attached below is an example of the level of piece we will play in the class.
Classes will be held at Kirkwall Grammar School on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am till 3.30pm. On Thursday there is a rehearsal for the concert from 10am till 1pm for all classes. The concert will be on Thursday Evening at the Orkney Theatre, Kirkwall and will showcase the week’s learning.
