Intermediate level is aimed at students who are confident at playing the fiddle and are able to read music or learn by ear to a good standard. Pupils should be able to play jigs and reels to a fairly fast speed. Below are examples of the level of pieces we will learn.
Classes will be held at Kirkwall Grammar School on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am till 3.30pm. On Thursday there is a rehearsal for the concert from 10am till 1pm for all classes. The concert will be on Thursday Evening at the Orkney Theatre, Kirkwall and will showcase the week’s learning.
